Roster Radar Privacy Notice

Last updated: August 31, 2026

Read this together with the Ouranoco Privacy Policy, which covers our privacy commitments, legal bases, your rights, international transfers, complaints, and contact details, and applies in full to Roster Radar. This notice covers only what is specific to Roster Radar. Where the two conflict, this notice governs.

Roster Radar retrieves your roster directly from your airline’s own systems on your behalf. This notice describes how your personal information is handled when you download and use the Roster Radar mobile app. Questions? Contact us at privacy@ouranoco.com.

In short: Ouranoco receives nothing. We operate no servers for this app, and no data from it is ever sent to us. Your staff number and a cached copy of your roster are held in local storage on your device; your password is entered at runtime, held in memory only, and never written to storage of any kind. Deleting the app removes everything.

A1. What Information Does Roster Radar Collect and How Is It Used?

Roster Radar has no user account system — no account, username, or sign-in with us. It is intended for flight crew authorised to access their own roster, and you should use it in accordance with your airline’s own IT and security policies.

Everything the app stores is held in local device storage and never leaves your device to reach our servers:

Your password is never stored. When the app requires authentication, you are prompted to enter it. It is used solely to authenticate with your airline’s own systems, exists only in memory for the duration of the request, and is discarded immediately afterwards.

When you tap “Look Up Roster”, the app sends your staff number — and, if required, your password — directly to your airline’s system. That communication is between your device and your airline’s servers; it does not pass through any Ouranoco infrastructure.

Nothing is collected automatically. We collect no device identifiers, IP addresses, usage statistics, or telemetry, and we never see your staff number, your roster, or your password. The legal bases in the Ouranoco Privacy Policy therefore apply only to this local, on-device processing — there is no server-side processing by Ouranoco to justify.

A2. Who Is Your Information Shared With?

No one. Roster Radar routes no user data through Ouranoco infrastructure, and shares nothing with Ouranoco’s own servers or backend, or with any of the parties listed in the company-wide sharing rules.

Your data interacts only with the following:

Recipient Data involved Purpose
Airline rostering system Staff number, password (when authentication is required) Authenticating with your airline’s systems and retrieving your roster on your behalf

Your airline is an independent controller of the data it holds about you as its employee, governed by its own privacy policy. We have no visibility into, or control over, how it processes your credentials on its servers.

A3. Retention and Deletion

All data is stored locally on your device and none on our servers, so retention is entirely under your control. Ouranoco has no retention period to disclose, because we retain nothing.

Data type Where stored How to delete
Staff number Device (local storage) Delete the app, or clear app data from iOS Settings
Cached roster data Device (local storage) Delete the app, or clear app data from iOS Settings
Password Not stored — memory only Discarded automatically after each authentication request

A4. Roster Radar-Specific Security Measures

Beyond the company-wide security baseline, Roster Radar applies:

Protect your device with a strong passcode and keep your credentials secure in accordance with your airline’s own security guidelines.

A5. Exercising Your Rights in Roster Radar

Your rights are set out in the Ouranoco Privacy Policy. For this app specifically:

Requests concerning the roster and employment data held by your airline should be directed to your airline. We are not the controller of that data and hold no copy of it.
